Iyanya EP Listening at Industry Nite

The 'Up to something' singer mounted the stage and gave a special rendition to his late mum.

Mavin new signee Iyanya launched his new EP, "Signature" on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

The event which took place at the Hard Rock Cafe, Victoria Island Lagos saw Iyanya pay a special tribute to his late mother, Mrs Abia O. Mbuk.

 

The 'Up to something' singer mounted the stage and gave a special rendition to his late mum.

The music star was preceded by a number of performers including Frankeyz and Jeff.

He kicked off his performances launching into his song ‘Celebrate’.

The EP which features 8 tracks, including the singles ‘Up 2 Sumting’ and ‘Hold on’, was co-produced by Don Jazzy, Altims and Babyfresh. It features Don Jazzy, Dr Sid and Poe.

 

The EP was unveiled with celebration at the popular weekly concert, Industry Nite. At the event, Iyanya performed all the songs off the EP, backed by all the members of Mavin Records, and other stars including Don Jazzy, D’Prince, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Di’Ja, Reminisce, Sheyman and more.

 

His performance at the concert was supported by a live band, with intermittent dancing by GGB Dancers.

“Signature” EP has Iyanya returning to his R&B roots, while also sticking to his core pop sensibilities. It marks the first time the singer will be releasing an EP in his career. His previous projects have been albums (2009 “My Story”, and 2013 “Desire”).
